Abstract:
At the heart of our vocation as academics is a commitment to expanding knowledge through research, and communicating this knowledge through our teaching, public engagement, and in publications. This seminar focuses on the challenges of writing for publication in academia. Drawing on my experience of publishing widely in applied linguistics and supervising over 30 PhD students to completion, I will share strategies for addressing these challenges so as to increase the quality and quantity of academic publications.
